JULIE B. RYAN, O.D., M.S.

Dr. Ryan is an upstanding member of the Irvine professional community. She has practiced optometry for nearly 35 years in California. During that time she has assisted many children and adults to achieve their best performance through providing top quality eye and vision care. Her office offers a full range of vision and other visually related services, such as, comprehensive eye exams, optical services, contact lenses and vision therapy. In addition, Dr. Ryan is a nationally recognized authority who has extensively lectured and authored many papers in her field.

Dr. Ryan is a Diplomate in Binocular Vision and Perception of the American Academy of Optometry and a Fellow of the College of Optometrists in Vision Development. As an adjunct Associate Professor at the Southern California College of Optometry, where she previously served as Chief of Pediatric Vision Services, she continues to teach and mentor students in Vision Therapy and Pediatric vision care. She formally served as Chair of the Vision Therapy and Pediatric Committee of the American Optometric Association and Board of COVD. This active woman has been recognized for her contributions by being chosen for inclusion in “Who’s Who” both nationally and internationally. In Orange County, she was named a Woman of Excellence by Learning for Life and Boy Scouts of America. Dr. Ryan was recognized by her Optometric colleagues for her commitment and dedication by being named the 1999 California Optometrist of the Year. In 2001 Dr. Ryan was also named Alumna of the year for the Illinois College of Optometry.
It is her plan to serve the people of Irvine for many more years.

TERRY TSANG, O.D., F.A.A.O.

Dr. Terry Tsang joined Dr. Ryan in 2001. Dr. Tsang adds another dimension to the professional services of our office. She specializes in contact lenses, in addition to providing general optometric vision care and Vision Therapy.

Dr. Tsang attended the University of Waterloo, School of Optometry (Canada) and received her Doctor of Optometry Degree in 1995. She completed a post doctoral residency in Cornea and Contact Lenses at the Southern California College of Optometry in 1997. Dr. Tsang received a faculty appointment at S.C.C.O. where she taught in the Cornea and Contact Lens Department.

Dr. Tsang provides contact lens fittings for correcting nearsightedness, farsightedness and astigmatism. In addition, she designs and fits specialty contact lenses like multifocals for correcting presbyopia. She especially enjoys providing contact lenses for children. Dr. Tsang and her family reside in Irvine.

ROSEMARIE BONVECCHIO, O.D.

Dr. Ryan is pleased to have added Dr. Rosemarie Bonvecchio in 2007. Dr. Bonvecchio provides both general optometric care and contact lens services.

Dr. Bonvecchio attended the Southern California College of Optometry where she received her Doctor of Optometry degree in 1989. Dr. Bonvecchio provides contact lens fitting for correcting nearsightedness, farsightedness and astigmatism as well as fitting multifocals for correcting presbyopia. Dr. Bonvecchio makes her home in Irvine.

Judy Marron is our Vision Therapy Administrator and also one of our vision therapists. Full of energy and always helpful she will make your experience both memorable and pleasant. She is always ready to answer any questions you may have and will keep you up to date with any changes in vision therapy.

BARBARA FRASER, BECKEE COST AND JUDY MARRON.

The cumulative experience of our vision therapists is well over 30 years. Barbara Fraser is a long time Irvine resident, who also works as a health clerk at the Irvine Unified School District. Beckee Cost became a vision therapist following the successful Vision Therapy program for her daughter. Judy Marron has achieved certification as a vision therapist from the College of Optometrists in Vision Development. All have had their skills developed and provide Vision Therapy through Dr. Ryan’s mentoring. Each optometric vision therapist is thoroughly knowledgeable and is guided by Dr. Ryan and Dr. Tsang. Their welcoming personalities and cheerful outlook will provide a great experience for both you and your child.

BLANCA RAIMONDO - Optician

Blanca Raimondo is a Licensed Optician with over 32 years of experience in all aspects of the optical field. Fully knowledgeable in frame and lens selection, she is also an expert at repairing and adjusting glasses. Blanca enjoys working with people and giving personalized attention. She has been with Dr. Ryan’s office for over 10 years and continues to share her expertise and knowledge in the optical field.
